So wrong, wrong on every level . .

Yes it's Christmas, but why?
How could anyone do THAT to a British Bulldog, for goodness sake, the dog has "I'm so ashamed" written all over his wrinkly chops . . . . .

Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas Bulldogs!

Sunday 16 December 2012

Come in number 42, your times up . . . .

Aimee Wakelin (42) Pee Wee Captain 2012 pictured doing what she does best, scoring!
The Bulldog caught up with Aimee, the out-going Pee Wee Captain, at last nights presentation and awards evening . . . I spoke to her at the start of the evening, well before the countless bottles of downed coke sugar rush took its effect and babble mode kicked in . . . . ah yes, the Bulldog is wise!
So number 42, the answer to life, the universe and everything . . . you've had a pretty impressive year but as Captain what was the one thing you were most proud of?
"Being Captain to the hero's of the Pee Wee team, Max, Mim, Reece and Ellen who turned up every week for training and who turned up for every league match even though we sometimes only fielded 4 players which is really tough going. Their commitment and dedication to the team and the club is what I'm most proud of, they're just awesome."
And your proudest moment?
"Getting picked for the SASH Dream Team, I was really surprised and yeah really proud".
So was the club Aimee!

Well done and thank you.

You've been pretty magic, Magic . . .

Magic Wakelin (42) Junior Captain 2012

At last I managed to catch up with this years Junior Captain, Magic Wakelin.

Nice tattoo . . . always impressed with stupidity and bravery!

Anyhoo, the Bulldog wanted to know,

What would you say has been your proudest moment this year as Junior Captain?
"I'm really proud of how the younger youth players stepped up and played for the junior team this season, they worked really hard for the me and did a brilliant job".

And your proudest personal moment would be . . . ? I asked already knowing the answer but there you go . . lol,
"Most definitely it would be winning a bronze medal at this years Europeans as GB junior captain, representing the junior team and also representing the country was an absolute honour, my dad was pretty proud of me too which doesn't happen too often . . . lol".

Alls that's left to say is well done Magic, yes you've been magic, your achievements with Team GB have done the Club proud, you are most definitely one of Banbury Bulldogs stars!

Thank you for all your hard work as Junior Captain, keep up the outstanding work!

A club full of unusual names . . . ?

The Bulldog was asked today if it was necessary to have an unusual name or one unusually spelt to join the club . . . .
Ummmm no.
But the Dog can see where they're coming from . . .
Magic
Zach
Jez
Jai
Juan
Harris
Ricci
Mim
Aimee
Oz
Becca . . . . .
Maybe there's something in it, is it the norm we wonders . . .

Words of Wisdom from Jai

Jai Robinson (81), 2012 Captain of the Bulldogs Youth Team
The Bulldog caught up with the retiring Youth Captain last night at training . . .
In your role as Youth Team Captain, what was your proudest moment this season?"Leading the Youth Team out at the Youth National Championships."
And best personal moment for Jai the hockey player?"Scoring an awesome penalty at the Youth National Championships against Stanstead Hurricanes."
There were nods of agreement all round, it really was a mighty fine penalty!

Alls that's left to say is thank you Jai for being an outstanding Captain this year.
The Youth Team say you've done a brilliant job and everyone at the club I'm sure will agree that you've been, as always, a fine ambassador not just for the club but for the sport itself.

Good luck in the Junior team for 2013 . . . keep scoring awesome penalty's!
