About

Banbury Bulldogs was formed in 1999, the aim of the club was, and still is, to promote the growing sport of Inline Skater Hockey to players of all ages and abilities from six years old.

We teach beginners everything they need to know to enjoy playing the game, players who want to, can go on to join the club, thus becoming a league player, playing matches against other clubs and who knows, maybe going on to represent their team and the club at the National Championships, or, as we have had, for the SASH (Southern Area Skater Hockey) Regional Team and even for Great Britain.
One of our most successful players (Magic Wakelin) was Captain of the Junior GB Team at last years Europeans (Team GB came 3rd!), so really, the sky's the limit, we'll support you every step of the way.
As a club we proudly encourage our more experienced players to mentor and coach the new-comers and / or the inexperienced players, Zach Robinson, Harris Turner and Ricci Capel are all currently coaching assistants as well as being team players and they're brilliant!

So, what is Skater Hockey?
The sport is a lot like Ice Hockey but without the ice. It's played in sports halls around the country and we use a ball rather than a puck.
There are four outfield players and a goalie on the rink at any one time.
The game is very fast so there are rolling subs with players changing over every two minutes or so.

Training
The Banbury Bulldogs train Saturday afternoons at Spiceball Leisure Centre, Banbury and on Monday and Thursday at Brackley Leisure Centre.
Check out the 'Training Times' page for more information.

We would be happy to tell you more about the game and give you a chance to try it for yourself, just come down to Spiceball any Saturday between 1.30 and 4.

Hope to see you soon!
